Minnesota Vikings at Cincinnati Bengals: Tecmo Bowl Futures

New, comments

You can go anywhere on the web and find what the experts think the outcome of any game will be. I have my own expert. She was born in 1991 and has had my heart ever since. Her name, Tecmo Super Bowl.

Welcome back everyone. As the rosters are in flux and we begin to get a peek into what to expect this season, we once again turn to our favorite prognosticator to see the outcome of the upcoming game.

That’s right, Tecmo is back. And, Tecmo doesn’t do backups, so here, you’ll see this game laid out as if the starters played for the entirety of the matchup, which of course will not actually happen.

The Bengals open the preseason against the Vikings and kick the ball to Minnesota to start the game.

The rust is obvious as the Vikings easily move the ball down field.

Teddy Bridgewater finds Stefon Diggs for a wide open touchdown.

In true preseason form, Blair Walsh misses the extra point try.

A swing pass to Jeremy Hill gets the Bengals a huge chunk of yards.

Hill breaks free and puts Cincinnati in great field position.

Who better to finish the drive than A.J. Green. Andy Dalton finds him for the touchdown in the back of the end zone.

The Vikings again have no trouble moving the football through the air.

This time, Bridgewater fires the ball to Zach Line for the touchdown.

The Bengals offense is eager to answer and in picks apart the Vikings secondary.

Guess who gets open for another touchdown?!

At the end of one quarter, the difference is a missed extra point.

The Bengals defense begins to wake up. Big Geno Atkins disrupts the Minnesota offense.

The Vikings settle for a field goal try.

No good.

This is what happens when you fail to cover A.J. Green. Andy Dalton has no problem floating it out to him.

Hello again Geno Atkins.

The Vikings offense is officially in free fall mode. Passes are far off the target from pressure the Bengals defensive line is bringing.

The Vikings punt to Cincinnati.

Jeremy Hill breaks a long run to score right before the half.

The game is comfortably under control for the Bengals at the half. Jeremy Hill is a force in the passing game today.

Hill also is dominating the run game as time wears on.

He easily gets in for another Bengals touchdown.

Welcome to the sack party, Vincent Rey.

Once again, the Vikings punt to the Bengals.

At this point, the Bengals are moving the ball at will.

Brandon LaFell gets involved in the Bengals passing game.

At the end of three, the Bengals lead 35 - 13.

Jeremy Hill adds another rushing touchdown to open the fourth quarter.

Many new Bengals are contributing today. Karlos Dansby records a sack of his own.

The Vikings are desperate for anything and attempt to go for it on fourth down.

Nope.

Dalton wants to spread the love and finds LaFell open for the next Bengals touchdown.

...And Geno Atkins causes some more damage.

Then line mate, Carlos Dunlap, ends the Vikings drive with another sack.

For good measure, Dalton lofts another pass up to A.J. Green.

Touchdown!

This game got ugly quickly as the Bengals jump all over the Vikings.
