Bengals training camp: Videos from Day 7 in Cincinnati

Check out the best plays from a largely uneventful, special teams filled day at Bengals training camp on Friday night.

Bengals training camp kicks off at 1:00 p.m. today with Family Day inside of Paul Brown Stadium, but before it does, let’s take a look back at yesterday’s night practice. It was one of the lighter training camp sessions, with a lot of install work for the game-like practice we’ll see today. There was also a considerable amount of special teams work and not much real tackling.

Somehow, Derron Smith still got injured, an apparent ankle injury that we don’t yet know the extent of. He was able to walk off on his own, so hopefully it’s nothing major. Ryan Hewitt and Chris Lewis-Harris both didn’t practice, for unknown reasons.

But, it’s time to get to the film. Here’s a look into what fans in attendance saw at training camp on Friday night, courtesy of Sarah Mustian, who has been capturing every training camp session for us on Twitter and Vine. She’ll be back at camp today, so be sure to follow along on social media and here on CJ for her coverage.

Here’s how camp typically starts out.

It’s good to see Cedric Ogbuehi and Andrew Whitworth hanging out.

Here’s A.J. Green getting warmed up.

Here’s Brandon Tate with a return. If only it were that easy in real games, right?

Mario Alford also got many reps returning on Friday.

The team also practiced onside kicks with punter Kevin Huber doing the kicking.

Here’s Alford with another return. Not much to see here, we’ll really need to wait to see what he does in the preseason, which kicks off for the Bengals next Friday night against the Minnesota Vikings.

Here’s Andy Dalton breaking away for a run.

Check out Tyler Boyd making a nice catch from Dalton.

Jeremy Hill breaks out of the pack.

Not much to see here, other than Vontaze Burfict back on the field. Burfict told ESPN’s Bob Holtzman that he got his foot stuck in the grass during the summer while training and it swelled up. He also showed up at camp “three pounds heavy.”

John Peters is one of few healthy tight ends, but he made an unfortunate drop on Friday.

The Dalton to Brandon LaFell connection seems to be growing.

Here’s another catch from Boyd.

Dalton to Green... it still works.

C.J. Uzomah is now practicing full-time with the first team due to the Tyler’s being injured, and he’s doing really well. He might be the most-improved Bengals player from last year to this year, though, we’ll need to wait to really validate that claim.

More Dalton to LaFell action.

Gio! Gio! Gio!
