Bengals Training Camp 2016: Videos and highlights from Family Day

Check out the top plays from Saturday’s Bengals practice, which include touchdown catches from Tyler Boyd and C.J. Uzomah, two young guys on the rise.

On Saturday, the Bengals played in front of fans inside Paul Brown Stadium for the first time since January’s Wild Card loss. The 7,650 members of Who Dey nation in attendance were loud and proud as they rooted on their favorite players in a mock scrimmage featuring the first team offense/second team defense in white against the second team offense/first team defense in black.

Andy Dalton only played for one half of the action and went 9-of-12 for 122 yards and a touchdown. Many of those throws went to A.J. Green and C.J. Uzomah, with Uzomah scoring the touchdown. AJ McCarron played for the entirety of the scrimmage going 6-for-12, throwing for 107 yards and a touchdown to Tyler Boyd.

A number of players sat out including Darqueze Dennard, Tyler Kroft, Tyler Eifert, William Jackson III, Brandon Thompson, Matt Lengel, Ryan Hewitt, Trevor Roach, Jake Kumerow, Chris Lewis-Harris, Zach Hocker, Derron Smith, James Wright and Andrew Whitworth (veteran’s rest day).

Sarah Mustian was back at practice today and captured many of the best moments from the day. Let’s go through them all!

What a sight! The Bengals back on the field at PBS!

A.J. Green was the recipient of a few Andy Dalton passes on Saturday. Here’s one of them.

Jeremy Hill gets the first down.

Here’s another of Green’s catches and one of the biggest plays of the day, though, it’s obstructed by a giant balloon hat.

C.J. Uzomah was the first to score on Saturday.

An unsuccessful play, though, it’s unclear who the running back is here, I believe it’s Hill.

Brandon Tate had a nice catch on Saturday.

Here’s Boyd’s touchdown catch, with undrafted rookie Darius Hillary in coverage.

John Peters, the only tight end on the roster other than Uzomah who isn’t hurt caught a short pass here. More importantly, it converted a fourth down.

What do you think, will Rex Burkhead see the field more often on offense this year?

Cody Core made a nice catch on a great throw. He seems to make at least one great play in each day of camp.

A nice play by Chykie Brown who hasn’t made many good plays during camp.

The Bengals are off on Sunday and back to work for the final week of open-to-the-public practices on Monday. Tuesday is also an off day before Wednesday and Thursday’s joint practices with the Vikings in anticipation for the preseason opener on Friday at 7:30 p.m. against the Minnesota Vikings.
