The Bengals and Dolphins have released their final injury and practice reports for Thursday Night Football and there's a lot of bad news on both sides... Though, I guess you could consider the Dolphins sitting numerous starters as good news for the Bengals.
For the Dolphins, starting running back Arian Foster, tight end Jordan Cameron, linebacker Koa Misi and center Mike Pouncey have been ruled out and even worse is that backup center Anthony Steen is doubtful. The Bengals should look to pick on whoever ends up playing center for the Dolphins early and often on Thursday. Additionally, Dolphins' starting linebackers, Jelani Jenkins, is doubtful. And Kiko Alonso, another starting linebacker for the Dolphins is questionable, though he got in a full practice on Wednesday after limited sessions on Monday and Tuesday.
While the Bengals are taking an honest approach and removing players from the "status" section who are sure to play even when listed on the injury report earlier in the week, the Dolphins are being less transparent and giving all players who appeared on the report at any time this week the "questionable" designation. Surely, not all of these players are questionable. When the NFL revised the injury report rules this offseason, I believe they were hoping teams followed the path the Bengals are taking, but so far, it seems most teams are not doing that. Still, the Dolphins have an abundance of players who have already been ruled out, questionable or doubtful.
For the Bengals, Dre Kirkpatrick and Tyler Eifert are doubtful and Derron Smith is questionable (more on that here).
