After clearing waivers, the Bengals have signed linebacker Trevor Roach to the practice squad and to make room, released cornerback Darius Hillary from the practice squad.
Roach was waived on Thursday from the 53-man roster, to make room for linebacker Vontaze Burfict to be activated from his suspension and added the roster.
Roach spent 2015 on the Bengals’ practice squad before being added to the active roster and playing in January’s Wild Card loss. He originally joined the team after being signed as an undrafted free agent out of Nebraska in 2015. In three games played this year, Roach recorded no statistics.
Hillary was signed as an undrafted free agent out of Wisconsin after the 2016 NFL Draft. His father, Ira Hillary was a wide receiver for the Bengals in the 80s and played on the Bengals 1988 Super Bowl team.
Here’s an updated look at the Bengals’ practice squad.
