Odds for NFL Conference Championship weekend, most likely Super Bowl matchups

After a Divisional Round that one oddsmaker is deeming the worst-ever NFL weekend for his company, here’s a look at this weekend’s Conference Championship odds and Super Bowl odds heading into the Conference Championship games.

NFL: New England Patriots at Pittsburgh Steelers Jason Bridge-USA TODAY Sports

Conference championship weekend is here and the games this weekend should be entertaining. As Bengals fans, we’ll be rooting hard for the Patriots as they take on the Steelers. The Steelers were unable to score a touchdown last week as they instead scored only on Chris Boswell’s leg and still beat the Chiefs who scored two touchdowns. It was the first time in the playoffs that a team won after scoring two fewer touchdowns than its opponent.

The NFC Championship game pits two of the best offenses in the league and two of the leading MVP candidates against each other in Aaron Rodgers and the Packers and Matt Ryan and the Falcons. The NFC championship game should be a high scoring affair and oddsmakers know it.

“Last weekend was our worst NFL weekend we have ever had mainly because of the Packers, so I am not surprised to see our bettors backing them again with over 70% of the action on them,” Kevin Bradley, SportsBook Manager, Bovada.lv said in a statement. “We have a posted Total of 61½, which seems astronomical for an NFL Playoff game, but does not seem to be scaring many people away with over 75% betting the over. The other matchup seems to be more balanced with just a tad more coming in on the Pats so far.”
