What to know for Senior Bowl Week 2017

Everything you need to know for Senior Bowl Week 2017, including practice times and NFL Draft prospects in attendance.

NCAA Football: Senior Bowl Butch Dill-USA TODAY Sports

With 30 of 32 NFL teams now in draft mode, much of the focus this week will be on the Reese's Senior Bowl at Ladd-Peebles Stadium in Mobile, Alabama.

In addition to the game, which takes place on Saturday, January 28 at 2 p.m. EST on the NFL Network, we’ll be treated to a full week of practice reports and analysis on the top NFL prospects taking part in the game. Leading up to the Senior Bowl, the NFL Network will provide on-location coverage of Senior Bowl week practices, beginning on Tuesday, Jan. 24 at 2:00 p.m. ET.

Coverage continues Wednesday and Thursday at 1:00 p.m. ET, with draft experts Mike Mayock and Daniel Jeremiah providing insight and analysis. NFL Network analyst Bucky Brooks and reporters Ian Rapoport and Mike Garafolo will provide additional practice reports. There will be a one-hour 2017 Senior Bowl Recap show that airs Tuesday through Thursday at 8:00 PM ET.

Hue Jackson and the Browns (South team) and John Fox and the Bears (North) will be coaching the players in the game during the week. It offers their staffs an advantage, giving coaches an extra look into how the prospects play during practice and prepare in the film room throughout the week.

But while the Bengals’ staff may not be coaching this week, you can bet most of them will be in Mobile scouting and interviewing various prospects throughout the week. This is a great chance for teams to get an early feel for some of the top prospects in this year’s draft, not to mention guys they may target.

Here’s some great advice to the prospects in attendance from Cowboys 2016 rookie and Rookie of the Year candidate Dak Prescott, just to give you an idea into what this week is like for the players.

It’s all about evaluations and being judged.
