Bengals cornerback Adam Jones appeared in court on Tuesday morning after being arrested just after midnight in Cincinnati.

Per Cincinnati Enquirer courts and breaking news reporter Kevin Grasha, a judge set $37,500 in bonds for Jones' release. Felony charges for the case involve spitting on a jail nurse and deputy, after originally being arrested for misdemeanors including pushing and poking a man in the eyes. Jones also resisted arrest and head-butted an officer in the process, per police records.

In his court appearance this morning, Jones' attorney stated the Bengals cornerback "vehemently denies" the accusations, which include the above incident. According to the Enquirer, it occurred at the Millennium Hotel, though, other reports state it occurred at the Tin Roof and that his arrest happened at the Hyatt Regency Hotel.

The Bengals have released the following statement on Jones’ arrest.
