Bengals approval poll: Bill Lazor as offensive coordinator

How do you feel about the job Bill Lazor has done in his brief time as the Bengals’ play-caller?

Bengals.com

The Cincinnati Bengals looked like a lost cause over their first two games.

Despite a pair of solid outings by the defense and special teams, Cincinnati’s offense was painfully awful, not to mention crippling this team into bottom-feeder status.

Or as Dre Kirkpatrick eloquently put it, “we suck.”

Thankfully, the Bengals cured their offensive woes by firing the man largely responsible for them; Ken Zampese. He was replaced with a far better play-caller in Bill Lazor, who actually had a long career of running offenses in college and the NFL. Lazor was far more ready to take this talented offense and help it reach its potential.

Even with a porous offensive line and Pro Bowl tight end Tyler Eifert out for the year, Lazor has helped this offense make a complete 180. After scoring just nine points over the first two games, the Bengals have averaged 25 points per game.

They’ve also gotten the ball to A.J. Green and Joe Mixon more, two players who need to be the focal point of this offense. Lazor has also shown more willingness to work with different offensive lineman, giving guys like Alex Redmond and Andre Smith chances to show what they can do (though briefly with Redmond).

Sure, there can be improvements, and there have certainly been moments Lazor could have made a better call or adjustment, but there’s no doubt that he’s helped save the Bengals’ season.

So, we’re asking you the fans, how satisfied are you with the job Lazor has done thus far?
