It’s another Sunday Night Football matchup except this one is a bit extra special as we get to see the rematch between the defending Super Bowl champs and the “should’ve, could’ve been” Super Bowl champs.
The Patriots take on the Falcons at 8:30 p.m. ET in Foxborough, Massachusetts at Gillette Stadium and it can be watched on NBC.
We all know what happened in the Super Bowl. One fan perspective was an epic comeback, the greatest and largest comeback in Super Bowl history. From another fan perspective, it was the most epic meltdown in Super Bowl history ever, ever, ever, ever... A few things have changed for these teams since then and a few things haven’t. The Falcons offense is only a shell of last season so far and they seem to be struggling maintaining leads still, but they do have a decent pass rush like last season. For the Patriots, they have one of the worst defenses in NFL history through the first six weeks, but their offense is as dangerous as ever. So, what will happen tonight? Can this be the night that Atlanta gets their offense clicking or will they fold under their sadness of what could’ve been?
