The Bengals once again fell to the Steelers at Heinz Field and it’s the same old, same old.
Bad offensive line play. Bad play from the secondary. Bad coaching.
Marvin Lewis did win two challenges. So, there’s that. But, A.J. Green was targeted far too infrequently (he had zero yards in the second half) and Joe Mixon didn’t have a second half carry after compiling 48 yards on seven carries in the first half.
Why?
We have lots of questions, though, we’re not really surprised. Are you?
It would have been great if the Bengals won this game, but, the issues we’ve seen over the years against the Steelers as well as the team’s issues this season continued on Sunday.
The Bengals are now 2-4. But hey, at least the Bengals would have the No. 4 overall pick in the draft, were the season to end today.

Here’s a round up of fan, media and other post-game reactions on social media.
Marvin Lewis has been on record in not believing in 2nd half adjustments. #Bengals had 19 yards in the 2nd half after trailing 20-16. pic.twitter.com/kgdgfkrdNG

14, actually, but you get the point.

It could be worse. I could be a Browns fan

Bengals season in one sentence: throw it away on 4th down
— Alberto (@losbengalscom) October 22, 2017
Disastrous offensive showing
— Goodberry (@JoeGoodberry) October 22, 2017
For whatever reason, the Bengals issue of cowering to the Steelers continues. They are literally intimidated out of the stadium.

Steelers fans are collectively chanting “BURFICT.” @FOX19 #Bengals

Marvin Lewis asked why Joe Mixon didn't get a carry in the second half: "He was in (the game)...whatever plays are called are called."
— Joe Danneman (@FOX19Joe) October 22, 2017
Andy Dalton under pressure and throwing it away on fourth down is EXACTLY how this game should end. What an AWFUL 2nd half
— James Rapien (@JamesRapien) October 22, 2017
WHERE WAS THE DAMN DEFENSE TODAY?!?!
— Austin Bradley (@atbradley2) October 22, 2017
It’s time for Marvin Lewis to go!
— Antwan (@bigtwan94) October 22, 2017
This may be the worst Bengals offensive line in their 50 year history
— Nick Pastura (@DatDudeNickyP) October 22, 2017
The Bengals not scoring in the second half was as predictable as it gets.
— Tim Daniel (@TimDaniel518) October 22, 2017
The @wwe is more believable than the o-line is at blocking.
— Tom A. (@Bigtomstud) October 22, 2017
Geno was invisible, Dre got abused several times, Oline cant even block bots on twitter and Green and Mixon dont touch the ball in 2nd half
— Angry Andy Dalton (@AngryAndyDalton) October 22, 2017
That’s on everyone. From Marvin to Lazor to Dalton. https://t.co/xr2OWppsze

Replacing the O-line with blow up dolls may be an upgrade

The Steelers are in this team’s head and that won’t change until Marvin is gone. PIT has had our number for the past 15 years.
— Christian Menefee (@cmenefee93) October 22, 2017
Pretty standard issue. Start strong, finish week. Not aggressive enough on offense and playing to not lose. #PITvsCIN

Dalton will get the blame, but the #Bengals50 "#2" Def faced a backup RT, forced 0 TOs 0 sacks, against an Off which struggled vs bad KC Def
