I don’t know about you, but I want to put the Bengals’ loss to the Steelers behind me as soon as possible.
Luckily, the Bengals have a great opportunity to get back to winning when the Colts come to town in Week 8. Andrew Luck has yet to suit up this season and likely won’t be returning to the field anytime soon following some setbacks with his shoulder. Jacoby Brissett has looked good at times in his place, but not nearly good enough. The Colts are 2-5 and look even worse than the 2-4 Bengals.
Sunday is a must-win for the Bengals (if you’re still rooting for them to win) and odds makers see the Bengals as significant favorites in this matchup. BookMaker.eu has the Bengals opening as 10 point favorites, with an over/under of 41.
Here’s a look at all of the opening odds following Sunday’s NFL action.
NFL Week 8 Opening Odds:
Colts at Bengals (-10, 41)
Panthers at Buccaneers (-1, 44)
Steelers at Lions (+3, 44.5)
Early Sharp Action:
- Buccaneers -1 to -2.5- Ravens -3 to -3.5
Notes from BookMaker.eu:
- Vikings haven't been greater than 7-point road favorites since 2009
- In Week 7, Broncos were shut out for first time since 1992
If the Bengals beat the Colts, they’d be 3-4 with the Jaguars, Titans, Broncos and Browns up next (in that order) before the Steelers come to Cincinnati for Monday Night Football in Week 13.
Do you still have faith left in the Bengals?
