Maybe all of the favorites won, maybe we just wanted to rebound from a bad week of picks in Week 6, or maybe we are just getting really good at making picks?
Regardless of the cause, the effect was that as a whole the Cincy Jungle staff correctly guessed (predicted?) two thirds of the games correctly for Week 7. That effort was led by both John S and Braden, who finished the week at 12-3, with Scott close behind at 11-4.
Overall, every staff member went at least 9-6 or better, except for Patrick Judis, who went 7-8, dropping his record to an even 0.500 at 53-53.
After seven week of well thought out selections, and throwing darts at a board, the standings are as follows:
- John S 70 - 36
- Scott 64 - 42
- Braden 64 - 42
- Jason 63 - 43
- John A 61 - 45
- Mason 60 - 46
- Alberto 60 - 46
- Andrew 53 - 53
- Patrick 53 - 53
- Anthony 45 - 46
With a 12-3 week, John S built his lead over Scott, who finished 11-4, by a game to a 6 game lead. Braden finished the week with a 12-3 mark of his own to keep the lead John S has on him to 6 games.
Jason, John A, Mason and Alberto are all in the pack, within striking distance of the top few spots. Meanwhile, Andrew, Patrick, and Anthony are dangerously close to getting lapped by the lead group, and will need some outstanding weeks to join the chase for the top spot.

We were unanimous on 5 of the 13 games this week, all picking the the home Patriots, Saints, Eagles, Bengals, and Chiefs, plus the Vikings to win at Cleveland on the road. We were near unanimous in our support for the Falcons (at Jets) and the Seahawks hosting the Texans. So any shakedown in our standings will take place in the following games:
- Dolphins @ Ravens - can Miami’s 3rd string QB pull off the road victory?
- Panthers @ Buccs - Carolina has twice the wins but a worst point differential
- Raiders @ Bills - which Raiders team will show up in Buffalo?
- Cowboys @ Redskins - A pivotal battle for 2nd place in the NFC East
- Steelers @ Lions - The Lions have given up almost 40 points a game since beating the Vikings
