The Cincinnati Bengals have announced their inactives list for Sunday’s game against the Indianapolis Colts. As expected, it includes the Bengals’ four injured players already ruled out.
For Cincinnati, the following players are out:
- H-back Ryan Hewitt
- Cornerback Keivarae Russell
- Wide receiver Tyler Boyd
- Linebacker Kevin Minter
- Wide receiver Cody Core
- Offensive lineman Alex Redmond
- Offensive lineman Christian Westerman
The Bengals will have starting cornerback Adam Jones back in action. Jones suffered a back injury in Week 5 that kept him sidelined in Week 7 following the team’s bye in Week 6.
It will be interesting to see how much playing time he gets and who loses snaps as a result of him returning. Darqueze Dennard and William Jackson have gotten more playing time with Jones out, and both have earned the right to keep playing a heavy amount of snaps.
As for rookie wide receiver John Ross, he too is active after getting in two straight weeks of practice. He’ll be on the field for the first time since Week 2 after a knee injury kept him sidelined for nearly a month.
For the Colts, the following players are inactive:
- Quarterback Andrew Luck
- Linebacker Anthony Walker Jr.
- Cornerback Rashaan Melvin
- Linebacker John Simon
- Cornerback Quincy Wilson
- Offensive lineman Dillon Day
- Guard Isaiah Williams
No surprise here with most of these players already having been ruled out, including quarterback Andrew Luck. Jacoby Brissett will get another start in his absence.
The Colts will have starting center Ryan Kelly, who was listed as questionable. How well Geno Atkins does versus the second-year center will help decide how much control the Bengals have in the trenches.
