Things seem to be at a major crossroads for the direction of the Cincinnati Bengals’ franchise. After a dismal performance against the Jaguars, some of the major areas of employment by the team are under scrutiny.

Meanwhile, we saw star receiver A.J. Green have an unlikely meltdown on the field against Jalen Ramsey. While Ramsey obviously goaded Green into the altercation, it also may have been evidence of a boiling over of longtime anger.

Since the final week of the exciting 2015 season, the Bengals have gone 9-15-1, including the epic disappointing loss to the Steelers in the Wild Card round.

Scott Schulze and Anthony Cosenza covered the topics surrounding the loss at the hands of the Jaguars, but they preferred to rely on many listener questions and frustrations this week. Here are some of the topics the OBI crew was asked by our live listeners:

  • Is A.J. Green’s meltdown against Jalen Ramsey indicative of his frustration with the club? Might he try and force his way out of Cincinnati as Carson Palmer did?
  • With the season seemingly spiraling out of control, why aren’t they seeing what they have in other younger players like AJ McCarron and John Ross?
  • Might the Bengals follow a recent trend and have a “fire sale” of some of their star players if the season continues to go awry, as the front office plans for a possible new coaching staff?

These and other topics were on the table for discussion on this week’s episode. Our thanks to those who tuned in live and added their questions. Join us every episode to do the same!
