For the second straight week, the Cincinnati Bengals lost a key player to ejection.
Against the Tennessee Titans, linebacker Vontaze Burfict was kicked out of the game due to making contact with an official. It came after Burfict helped stop Marcus Mariota at the 1-yard line on a run play. Burfict then allegedly made contact with an official, who deemed it was enough to toss Burfict out of the game.
The contact with the official was not shown on TV.
This came a few plays after Burfict was flagged for a late hit out of bounds on Titans running back DeMarco Murray:
It was clearly a bad call that was more of a reputation flag for Burfict, who has had his fair share of run-ins with the NFL and player-safety issues.
Making matters worse was Burfict was reportedly giving Titans fans the middle finger on his way out of the game, something he’s also done before.

I’m not sure this is accurate though, as it was shown he was doing the Johnny Manziel money sign on the way off the field. That may have appeared like giving fans the finger from the radio booth.

This also comes after the Bengals lost A.J. Green to an ejection for fighting in their Week 9 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars.
It’s possible Burfict could be suspended by the NFL following the ejection. The Bengals play the Broncos in Denver next week.

He swats away the hand of an official, who abruptly grabs and throws his yellow flag, ejecting Burfict from the game.
