Bengals injury news: Adam Jones being evaluated for concussion

Adam Jones got banged up in the Bengals’ Week 10 matchup with the Titans.

UPDATE: Jones has been ruled out.

The Cincinnati Bengals may have lost Adam Jones to a concussion.

The starting cornerback suffered a head injury in the third quarter of the Bengals’ Week 10 matchup with the Tennessee Titans. It happened on an option play in which Titans quarterback Marcus Mariota ran to the outside, then was hit by Jones while pitching the ball to running back DeMarco Murray.

After the play, Jones was sitting on the field as trainers came out to evaluate him. He eventually got up and was sent to the locker room to be further evaluated for a concussion.

Not long after the play, backup cornerback William Jackson sacked Mariota to help force a punt. Jackson has been getting seldom snaps when both Kirkpatrick and Jones have been healthy, but it’s clear Jackson should be playing more.
