The Cincinnati Bengals will be without at least two starting defenders in Week 12, but another pair of starters are set to return versus the Cleveland Browns.
On Friday, Cincinnati ruled out starters Shawn Williams and Vincent Rey. However, Adam Jones and Kevin Minter are no longer listed on the injury report, indicating they’ll make their returns on Sunday.
Jones missed Week 11 while recovering from a concussion. Minter has missed the last month of action due to an elbow injury. Their returns will be a welcome addition that has struggled with consistency in recent weeks.
Starting cornerback Darqueze Dennard is questionable with a knee injury, which kept him from practicing Wednesday and Thursday. He returned for a limited session on Friday. My guess is the Bengals will hold him out this week and allow Jones, Dre Kirkpatrick and William Jackson to get most of the cornerback snaps.
On the other side, Cleveland has ruled out backup receiver Sammie Coates, while backup safety Derron Smith is doubtful to play.
