The Cincinnati Bengals have announced their inactives list for Sunday’s game against the Cleveland Browns. As expected, it includes the Bengals’ two injured players who were already ruled out, as well as John Ross being a healthy scratch yet again.
For Cincinnati, the following players are out:
- Wide receiver John Ross
- Offensive lineman Christian Westerman
- Offensive lineman Alex Redmond
- Safety Shawn Williams
- Linebacker Vincent Rey
- Cornerback Keivarae Russell
- Running back Brian Hill
No surprises here. John Ross will continue to be inactive as long as the other wide receivers are healthy. Marvin Lewis has said as much, so don’t expect to see Ross back anytime soon.
As for Darqueze Dennard, the Bengals’ lone questionable player for this game, he is active. That’s big news, as Dennard has become a quality starter for the Bengals’ secondary this season.
The Bengals will also have Kevin Minter back in the starting lineup at middle linebacker, allowing Vontaze Burfict to go back to his natural weakside linebacker spot. This combination has been the best for the Bengals this season, but Minter’s elbow injury kept him out for the past month of action.
For the Browns, the following players are inactive:
- Wide receiver Sammie Coates
- Offensive lineman Marcus Martin
- Safety Derron Smith
- Quarterback Kevin Hogan
- Cornerback Darius Hillary
- Tight end Matt Lengel
- Defensive lineman T.Y. McGill
We pretty much knew who was in and out for the Browns today. The only player not listed as out was Derron Smith. The former Bengals safety was listed as doubtful to play, as he’s failed to stay healthy in Cleveland in the same manner he did in Cincinnati.
