UPDATE

Nick Vigil has been declared out for the remainder of the game. With him out, the Bengals will likely go with mostly nickel defenses for the rest of the game and use Vontaze Burfict and Kevin Minter at linebacker with Jordan Evans getting occasional snaps.

The Cincinnati Bengals can’t seem to go a week without having an injured linebacker.

This time, it’s Nick Vigil who went down with an ankle injury in the team’s Week 12 matchup with the Cleveland Browns. It happened near the end of the first half with the Browns deep in Bengals territory.

Vigil was attempting to make a tackle when he injured his ankle and went down. After being examined by trainers, Vigil was able to hobble toward the sideline before heading toward the locker room.

The team announced his return as questionable, and ESPN’s Katherine Terrell had this note on Vigil’s injury, which may have actually been a re-aggravation of a previous injury.

If Vigil is out the rest of the game, it will be interesting to see how the Bengals handle the strongside linebacker. Jordan Evans may take over since Vincent Rey is inactive for this game with a hamstring injury.
