The Bengals almost let Cleveland back into the Battle of Ohio on Sunday, after taking what seemed like a dominating lead against the Browns, but despite the comeback attempt, Cincinnati managed to secure the sweep of Cleveland this season.
Joe Mixon was the hero for the Bengals this week, touching the ball 26 times and carrying for 114 yards and a touchdown, the first hundred yard game of his career. Mixon also added 51 receiving yards to that total, which helped Andy Dalton to another interception free game. Dalton threw for 214 yards and two touchdowns on the day, hitting Tyler Kroft and Tyler Boyd in the endzone. A.J. Green had a solid day against the Browns defense, catching five balls for 66 yards, but was held out of the endzone.
Which play from the Bengals’ Week 12 win over the Browns deserves your vote for play of the week?
Andy Dalton connects with Tyler Boyd to open the scoring for Cincinnati: Sneaky, sneaky Andy Dalton. Using Mixon as a decoy, Dalton rocketed the first touchdown of the day into Boyd’s arm for his first score of the year.
Green makes a nearly impossible toe touch on the sideline: Jason McCourty is still confused. Nearly perfect coverage and one of the better cornerbacks in the NFL this season still couldn’t prevent Green from getting his feet down in bounds. Despite a review, the grab was confirmed.
Here’s a bonus look at John Ross’ face during the snag:
The best part of this amazing catch by A.J. Green is the progressive reaction from the guy in the gray Bengals sweatshirt. #Bengals pic.twitter.com/mlCK1szGcx

Carl Lawson takes down Deshone Kizer: Late in the fourth quarter, with the Browns trying to make a comeback, Carl Lawson made a great play for the Bengals, adding another sack to his great rookie season by bringing down Kizer. He had a total of 1.5 sacks on the day, which brings his total to seven. He leads all rookies by 1.5 sacks and also leads all players on the Bengals’ roster.
11 yard TD run by Joe Mixon: While there was controversy over whether the Bengals should have had the ball after the penalty on Jabrill Peppers, Mixon capped off the drive and iced the game with an 11 yard touchdown run where Russell Bodine made the finishing tackle, or, push into the endzone!
