A few weeks ago the Buccaneers’ quarterback Jameis Winston went viral with his pregame speech that involved “eating dubs.”

I mean, I get it. It is hard to come up with fresh pregame speeches to pump up your team. You probably don’t want that to involve what looks like licking your fingers. Still it looks even worse when you do not get to eat a W, and instead lose 30-10.
Several players have even commented on just how much they hated the celebration including T.J. Lang during a radio interview and Golden Tate offered this up on twitter as well:

There may be one Bengals player who likes eating W’s though. Carlos Dunlap adopted the phrase following the victory over the Browns on Sunday.
Now it is hard to say whether he actually enjoys the saying or if he is also trolling Winston. It is hard to see a guy like Dunlap ever troll someone, considering how great of a guy he is off the field. He has been named NFLPA’s Community MVP of the week this season as well as been nominated by the Bengals for the Art Rooney Sportsmanship award.
Still Dunlap has trolled before. Way back when Johnny Manziel got his first start against the Bengals, Dunlap got a sack. He followed up the play with Manziel’s famous money celebration.
Then there is the fact Dunlap attended the University of Florida, and Winston went to Florida State. That could lead to the temptation to troll the quarterback.
Still I’d try to avoid bringing up embarrassing pregame speeches from quarterbacks. After all this is still on the first page when you look up “embarrassing pregame speech by quarterback.”
