UPDATE
Jake Fisher has been ruled out for the remainder of the contest, and he’s now being sent to a local hospital for further evaluations. It’s still unclear what illness Fisher is dealing with.
The Cincinnati Bengals’ offensive line is struggling enough as it is, so the last thing they need is a starter out of the lineup.
During their Week 9 matchup with the Jaguars, Jake Fisher was forced from the game due to an illness. It’s unclear what the illness is or if Fisher was sick coming into the game, but the team announced his return is questionable.
If Fisher is unable to return, expect Andre Smith to come off the bench and be the right tackle. Smith has gotten plenty of work in this season at left tackle, right tackle and an extra lineman in jumbo packages.
Smith has arguably been better than Fisher, but the Bengals believe their have their right tackle of the future in Fisher, so they want him to play more in hopes he gets to that level, something he’s clearly not at yet.
We’ll update this story as more details come out...
