Steelers at Bengals injury report: A.J. Green limited; Antonio Brown sidelined

A host of Steelers defenders were also absent on Friday and look very iffy to face the Bengals.

The Cincinnati Bengals and Pittsburgh Steelers both had key players sitting out of practice on Friday.

A.J. Green was the big name for Cincinnati to be limited. According to Paul Dehner, Green is just dealing with a cold and should be fine. The Bengals can ill-afford to have Green sitting out Monday if they are to beat the Steelers.

Ironically, Pittsburgh had their All-Pro receiver sidelined on Friday. Antonio Brown was absent due to a toe injury. According to Ian Rapoport, it’s nothing serious, and Brown should be fine for Monday.

Elsewhere for Cincinnati, Nick Vigil was unable to practice again, as were Vincent Rey and Shawn Williams. Expect all three players to miss Monday’s game.

The same appears to be true of Pittsburgh starting defensive backs Mike Mitchell and Joe Haden. Both continue to be sidelined and are likely to miss Monday.

Two other starting defenders very iffy for Monday was James Harrison and Ryan Shazier. The two linebackers missed their second-straight practice on Friday. If Shazier, Harrison, Mitchell and Haden all miss Monday, that would be a tremendous boost to the Bengals’ offense, which only mustered up two scores in their 29-14 loss to Pittsburgh in Week 7.
