Six days after succumbing to the Steelers at home, the Bengals disappointed mightly again, this time falling to the 3-9 Bears in terrible fashion.
As Marvin Lewis pointed out best, we’re all “at a loss for words”, after Cincinnati couldn’t put up a fight against a team that had lost to the 2-10 49ers in Chicago the previous week.
Two players that did show up today were running back Giovani Bernard and cornerback William Jackson III. Despite being forced to warm the bench due to the coaching staff’s insistence on other underperforming veterans, the talented pair proved they have what it takes to be quality players in this league.
Maybe another sign that Marvin Lewis needs to go?
