The Cincinnati Bengals are getting healthier, but they’ve still got several guys sidelined ahead of their clash with the Minnesota Vikings.
That includes three players who missed Week 13 with concussions, including Joe Mixon, Dre Kirkpatrick and Vontaze Burfict. That’s a good sign all three are very iffy for Sunday, as it appears they have not yet cleared the league’s concussion protocol.
Also sitting out Wednesday were tight end Tyler Kroft (hand), linebacker Nick Vigil (ankle), cornerback Darqeuze Dennard (knee), and linebacker Kevin Minter (hamstring). Dennard and Kroft have been playing with their injuries for several weeks now, but Minter’s hamstring issue is new. Vigil has missed the last two games with his ankle injury.
The two key injuries for Minnesota are tight end Kyle Rudolph (ankle) and cornerback Xavier Rhodes (hip). Both players missed Wednesday, so it will be interesting to see if they can return to practice in the next two days.
Rudolph is one of the best tight ends in football, while Rhodes is Minnesota’s top cornerback.
