The Cincinnati Bengals don’t have much left to play for after falling to 5-8 on the season.
However, one thing we’ve consistently seen from the Marvin Lewis-led Bengals in lost seasons is playing spoiler to other teams’ postseason hopes.
That’s what Cincinnati will look to do this week when they face a Minnesota Vikings team in contention for the NFC’s top seed in the playoffs. Minnesota is also led by former Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer.
With so many of his pupils will playing for the Bengals, that will have them motivated to bring their A game in Minnesota and make their former coach proud while also handing him a loss.
