It’s getting to the point of absurdity with Bengals linebackers being injured.
The latest to go down against the Vikings was Vincent Rey. The starting linebacker went down in the fourth quarter. Rey suffered a jaw injury that was so painful he was down on the ground in pain. The team quickly ruled him out for the remainder of the game.
Coming into this contest, the Bengals were already without Kevin Minter, who was placed on season-ending injured reserve this week. They were also without Vontaze Burfict (concussion) and Nick Vigil, both of whom were inactive.
Then in the first half of this game, Jordan Evans was lost to a forearm injury. The Bengals are now essentially down to Hardy Nickerson at linebacker. Expect the Bengals to sign at least one more linebacker this coming week.
Also injured in this game was starting safety George Iloka with a shoulder injury.
We’ll update this post as more details become available...
