The Cincinnati Bengals’ defense continues to get hit hard on the injury front.

In the second half of their Week 17 matchup with the Baltimore Ravens, linebacker Jordan Evans was lost to a head and shoulder injury. In addition, starting safety Shawn Williams was lost to a back injury.

Evans has since been ruled out, while Williams is doubtful to return. Evans had been getting significant snaps at linebacker with Vontaze Burfict inactive for this game. That’s with fellow starters Nick Vigil and Kevin Minter already on injured reserve.

With Evans out, the Bengals have been giving Carl Lawson more snaps at linebacker. He’s effectively a defensive end, so that could impact the Bengals’ pass rush.

As for Williams, he has been in and out of the lineup this season while battling through multiple injuries. With him out, Josh Shaw and Clayton Fejedelem have been splitting time at safety next to George Iloka.

We will update you if any more news come of these injuries...
