The Cincinnati Bengals have now lost two cornerbacks versus the Pittsburgh Steelers in the first half.
After Adam Jones was knocked out of the game with a groin injury early in the first quarter, Darqueze Dennard was injured in the second quarter.
Dennard was down on the field following a run play and stayed on his back for a few minutes before being helped up, then gingerly walked off the field under his own power.
The team has since announced it’s a right knee injury and his return is questionable.
Dennard has been injury-prone throughout his career, though he’s been able to play in all 11 games this season.
If Dennard misses the rest of the game with Jones already out, that means the Bengals are down to Dre Kirkpatrick, William Jackson and Josh Shaw, who’s spent a lot of the season st safety.
Reserve cornerback Keivarae Russell was a healthy scratch, which looks like a really bad decision in hindsight.
We’ll keep you posted as more details on Dennard’s injury come out.
