The Cincinnati Bengals still have a wealth of defensive starters unlikely to play Sunday versus the Chicago Bears.

On Thursday, we saw Darqueze Dennard, Adam Jones, Shawn Williams, Dre Kirkpatrick, Nick Vigil and Vontaze Burfict all miss their second-straight session. it’s possible that all of them miss Sunday, which would be devastating to the secondary and linebackers.

Also missing Thursday was Geno Atkins with a toe injury. Losing him in addition to the above-mentioned players would make this one of the worst defenses in football, even if it were just for a game or two.

That’s just too much star power to overcome the loss of, though the Bears’ offense isn’t exactly well-equipped to score on any defense.

On offense, running back Joe Mixon missed a second-straight day due to a concussion. Don’t expect him to play Sunday, which means Giovani Bernard would be in line for a major workload. We may even see Brian Hill play since he is the backup if Mixon is out.
