The Cincinnati Bengals will be down several starters when they host the Chicago Bears on Sunday.
On Friday, Cincinnati ruled out Joe Mixon, Vontaze Burfict, Dre Kirkpatrick, Adam Jones, Shawn Williams and Nick Vigil. All of those players were expected to miss this game, especially the guys dealing with concussions suffered in Monday’s loss to the Steelers (Mixon, Burfict and Kirkpatrick).
The Bengals are also listing Geno Atkins as questionable to play this week due to a toe injury that popped up in practice this week. It is worth noting that Marvin Lewis thinks Atkins will play, but Lewis also though John Ross could play this week, and we saw how that turned out...
Darqueze Dennard is also questionable to play, which was his designation for Week 13 as well as he battles a knee issue. He was able to get in a limited session on Friday after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday.
The good news for the Bengals is that the already-depleted Bears will be even thinner this Sunday. Starting defenders Eddie Goldman, Adrian Amos and Pernell McPhee are all listed as doubtful.
