The NFL has wisely spread out its activities throughout most of the year, which limits slower times leading to a decrease in fan interest. February is one of those slower months, especially after the Super Bowl winner has been crowned.

Even so, this period could be coined as “the calm before the storm”. In the next two months teams are ramping up their offseason strategies as they gear up for free agency and the NFL Draft. The NFL Combine and a multitude of Pro Day workouts are also on the docket for all 32 squads.

Because of these regular offseason practices for NFL squads, there is still a lot to talk about when it comes to the Bengals. After a 6-9-1 season, the team has a lot of work to do if they want to return to the postseason and win games in the playoffs. Might the Bengals finally make waves in free agency? Who will the team grab as immediate impact players with their 11 picks in this year’s Draft?

Aside from addressing those issues on this week’s Orange and Black Insider, we also took time to examine the Bengals’ offensive line. In our series of positional assessments, the big guys up front might be one of the most interesting and divisive units, based on how one feels about the young players Cincinnati may be relying on in 2017.

We also continued taking listener questions, which yielded some very interesting topics. As always, you can send yours to us through a variety of different means.
