Scouting John Ross: speedy fit for Bengals

Let’s clear up some of the common misconceptions regarding Washington wide receiver and 2017 NFL Draft prospect John Ross.

Washington wide receiver John Ross is a player many people have made the assumption is simply a speedster who doesn’t offer much else. However, in the above video, I hopefully clear up these misconceptions and present Ross as the well-rounded prospect he is.

Expected by most to be drafted in the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, Ross could make a bigger impact than almost any other player the Bengals could draft with the No. 9 overall pick. He’d likely serve in a rotational role, but, that wouldn’t limit him from being a difference maker for an offense that’s looking for speed.

Of course, there are injury concerns with him as he has had knee issues in the past and underwent recent shoulder surgery, which may cause him to miss some of his rookie season. However, I believe his talent can potentially be worthy of the risk and he should at least be in consideration for the Bengals’ first round pick.

I will be doing a lot more of these scouting videos in the coming weeks, highlighting other draft prospects. If you have any advice of things I should think about changing feel free to tell me, but please keep any critiques constructive. I hope you all enjoy the video and learn something new.
