As the NFL calendar begins to turn to more of the active offseason months, we’ve had a lot to discuss on The Orange and Black Insider. On this week’s episode, we had a special guest to catch up with, sifted through the Bengals’ free agency ashes and answered fan questions.
Former Cincinnati tight end, Nate Lawrie, who spent two seasons with the Bengals from 2007-2008, joined us on the program. Nate relayed some fascinating stories about his time with the club and its bunch of high-profile characters in the Bengals’ locker room at the time. He also told us about his new business venture. If you’re into fitness, physical therapy and/or workout recovery, check out www.brazyn.com to see his products.
After our entertaining conversation with Nate, Scott Schulze and I went over a myriad of topics including analyzing the team signing Andre Smith and his path to potentially starting at right guard, the recent comments made by current Bengals players, and as always, we answered fan questions. Needless to say, we had a lot to discuss!
Does the recent slew of visits of defensive players mean the team will go offense early and often in this year’s NFL Draft? If so, what positions are on the table on that side of the ball?
Listeners also spoke up with a number of interesting questions. Aside from a mock draft submission, some wanted to know if it’s time to move on from Jeremy Hill and if we should all be worried about rookie receiver Corey Davis eschewing any pre-draft workouts while recovering from January ankle surgery due to tearing two ligaments.
