Notes: McVay channeling Bengals' success
The Bengals’ blueprint is hip enough to get hyper-linked by the youngest head coach in the history of the game. It turns out that many of the principles Sean McVay is taking to the Los Angeles Rams were first preached in Bengaldom, starting with founder Paul Brown and stretching through to its longest tenured coach in Marvin Lewis.

Predicting Bengals' first three draft picks
In one month, the NFL Draft will begin at 8 p.m. on April 27 in Philadelphia. One of the most important three-day stretches of the year for the Bengals will begin as they have 11 selections over the course of the weekend. Few will mean more than the first two days of selections at Nos. 9, 41 and 73. A draft heavy in defense meets the Bengals’ need to for pass rushers opens up the possibility for my mock draft prediction here.

Browns Mailbag: Where does Cody Kessler stand in Browns’ QB search?
The Browns haven’t committed to a certain spot in the draft where they plan to attack the quarterback position but addressing and improving the group remains a top priority as the offseason progresses. As Chief Strategy Officer Paul DePodesta said at this week’s owners meetings, the Browns will continue to take swings at the plate until they land the prototypical "franchise quarterback."
Ravens head coach John Harbaugh welcomes former Chargers fans
With the Chargers move to Los Angeles, many San Diego fans are searching for a new team to cheer for. The Baltimore Ravens are becoming the lost fans new team, especially with fan favorites Eric Weddle and Danny Woodhead on the roster.
With Lawrence Timmons, Markus Wheaton and Jarvis Jones finding new teams via free agency, some fans (yes, I know, not you) never cease wondering if the team let these guys leave too soon. Sure it has happened before, most notably Rod Woodson in 1997, but for the most part the Steelers seem to have a knack for knowing when a player’s time in Pittsburgh has come to a close. Some guys like Hines Ward, Ike Taylor and Troy Polamalu chose retirement instead of extending their careers elsewhere.

More changes to Bills staff, including some long-timers
Bills coach Sean McDermott and General Manager Doug Whaley might get along fine (or so says the boss), but that doesn’t mean there isn’t a subtle but significant shift happening in Buffalo.
No One Pulls the NFL's Strings Like Its Greatest Puppet Master, Jerry Jones
It's possible we're seeing, right at this very moment, the evolution of Jerry Jones from great NFL owner to the most powerful man in all of sports. And he's doing it in the bossiest, most badass way possible. Jones has used a hospitality and marketing company he partially owns, called Legends, to essentially better the way three teams—the Raiders, Chargers and Rams—make profits.
Chip Kelly Says Colin Kaepernick Has the Ability to Play on a Winning NFL Team
While Colin Kaepernick continues to search for a new team, former San Francisco 49ers head coach Chip Kelly is standing in support of the quarterback. Per Michael Rosenberg of The MMQB, Kelly believes Kaepernick has what it takes to play for a playoff-caliber team again.
Matt Miller's Scouting Notebook: Top 5 Coming into Focus, New Big Board & More
The NFL draft is four weeks from today—Thursday, when I'm writing this, that is. Last year at this time, Jared Goff was the presumptive No. 1 overall pick, and already it was clear the Cleveland Browns wanted to move out of the No. 2 overall slot (they would trade that pick to the Philadelphia Eagles on April 20). This year there haven't been two groundbreaking trades at the top, and based on the information I've received, there won't be a trade for the No. 1 overall pick.
