Scouting Kareem Hunt: A smart, elusive runner

Kareem Hunt may be one of the best fits for the Cincinnati Bengals at running back in the 2017 NFL Draft.

Kareem Hunt is exactly the Runningback the Bengals should target

The 2017 NFL Draft class features a deep group of talented running backs, but one who quite a few people don’t know much about is Toledo’s Kareem Hunt. For the Bengals he is one of my top running back prospects in the draft. Hunt is exactly the type of running back the Bengals should be looking at as a player who can succeed despite poor run blocking. The Bengals run blocking was not great in 2016 and there is no reason to expect it will improve in 2017 with the team’s two best offensive lineman gone after free agency. With that in mind, I believe it would be best for the Bengals to get a running back who can succeed, despite bad blocking, and Hunt fits the bill.

Position: Running back

School: Toledo

Height: 5’10”

Weight: 216 pounds

Arm Length: 31 3/8”

Hand Size: 9 5/8”

If you have bias against the name Hunt, I urge you to give Kareem a chance to redeem the last. Hunt could be the next great running back to wear stripes and he could be had in the third round of the draft. Hunt could be a big help to the Bengals offense and I would love to be able to watch him running for the Bengals in 2017 and beyond.
