Snoop Dogg shares draft day message with new Bengals WR John Ross

The newest Bengals' ties to Snoop Dogg go way back to pee-wee football when Snoop discovered Ross in a parking lot.

Last night, Snoop Dogg was in Cincinnati for a concert and coincidentally, a player who he once coached in pee-wee football was drafted to the Cincinnati Bengals during the concert.

Snoop Dogg had pre-taped a message to share with Ross before the draft and once Ross found out he was going to Cincinnati, he watched the video Snoop left for him.

“This message is for John Ross, John “Pee-Wee” Ross. I remember the day I met you man. You was running through that little parking lot at Compton High School. Just a little kid wanting to play football,” Snoop said.

“I’m so proud of you, love the mission that you’ve been on, love your mom and dad for being a part of your life and for you for doing the right things... You make the Snoop Youth Football league look great every time you step out, every time you do an interview, every time you make a play.”

Snoop went on to say he loves Ross and that he’s one of the greatest running backs/wide receivers he ever coached.

Ross mentioned today during his introductory press conference in Cincinnati that he actually saw Snoop and his son just last week. Interestingly enough, a number of Bengals players including Vontaze Burfict, Adam Jones and Wallace Gilberry were at Snoop’s concert last night.
