The Cincinnati Bengals had three picks in the fourth round of the 2017 NFL Draft and they were used on defensive end Carl Lawson, wide receiver Josh Malone and defensive lineman Ryan Glasgow. The picks came very quickly one after the next and reactions came fast and furious. Most fans are happy about all three picks, but, confused about the selection of another wide receiver after John Ross was selected in Round 1 out of Washington. The Bengals have also already drafted three defensive linemen and haven’t yet drafted any offensive linemen.
Here are the reactions for the selections of Lawson, Malone and Glasgow.
CARL LAWSON

#Bengals defensive coordinator Paul Guenther: We needed to get faster at all three levels and we have.

Paul Guenther on Carl Lawson: Pass rush specialist. Use him both as a linebacker and rush guy. Did a lot of research on these type of guys.

#Bengals are used to getting GREAT value at DL in the 4th round: Geno Atkins, Andrew Billings, Domata Peko and now Carl Lawson.

JOSH MALONE
#Bengals WR coach James Urban on WR Josh Malone: "We think he can stretch the field." @FOX19

Teams do not keep seven wide receivers on the active roster. Just needed to put that out there. I'll repeat it if necessary.
— Katherine Terrell (@Kat_Terrell) April 29, 2017
The Bengals are not the team that will sign a player and cut him that year with $3 million in dead money. They're not doing that. https://t.co/Up6TSMBSiE
— Katherine Terrell (@Kat_Terrell) April 29, 2017
Everyone is immediately saying Core, and he showed promise, but he could go to the practice squad. I just think that last spot will be open
— Katherine Terrell (@Kat_Terrell) April 29, 2017
Josh Malone fits the Bengals' mold at wide receiver. I like the pick.
— Connor Howe (@YBConnor) April 29, 2017
#Bengals WR coach James Urban on Josh Malone: He better be ready to compete. We think he'll fit right in and help us immediately.
— Joe Danneman (@FOX19Joe) April 29, 2017
Josh Malone learning from A.J. Green and on the same field as John Ross? Yes please.
— Chris Roling (@Chris_Roling) April 29, 2017
James Urban on crowded WR room: "Anybody that shies away from competition is not going to make it in that room."

Congratulations to Josh Malone and the Bengals organization! Very proud of Josh and excited to watch him in Cincinnati! https://t.co/1xmQpWKxA7

This feels like how the Bengals drafted when they built this current team.

@CharlesBrowns08 Tennessee's Josh Malone is the best available and will go in the fourth round

At the moment Bengals have a good problem at wideout.

Josh Malone says he had a chance to talk to John Ross at the combine. Says he remembers Ross's 4.22 combine time. #Bengals #NFLDraft

RYAN GLASGOW
Glasgow goes from walk-on at Michigan to 4th round draft pick for Bengals. Older brother Graham walk-on to starting OL for Lions. #GoBlue
— Kevin Goheen (@CincyGoGo) April 29, 2017
Ryan Glasgow is criminally underrated. Dude wants to demolish the OLman in front of him every single snap. Can't coach what he has
— Mike Renner (@PFF_Mike) April 29, 2017
Bengals took DT Ryan Glasgow with their third pick in the fourth round. That's three defensive linemen they've taken in this draft.
— Katherine Terrell (@Kat_Terrell) April 29, 2017
Glasgow's a nose, should boot Sims off the roster.
— John Sheeran (@John__Sheeran) April 29, 2017
Ryan Glasgow 4th round with Bengals, NFL getting a excellent player and a great young man. You. So Proud!
