2017 NFL Draft video preview: Bengals must nail second round pick

After an exodus of talent during the last two offseasons, Cincinnati needs an influx of rookies who can contribute right away. Who might be able to do that by means of a second round pick in the 2017 NFL Draft? We discuss.

In our video preview of the first round of the 2017 NFL Draft, John Sheeran, Sports Dispute TV’s Jordan Harris and Dr. Hodgie made their cases for Solomon Thomas, Haason Reddick, John Ross and O.J. Howard as optimal picks for the Cincinnati Bengals. The respected readers at Cincy Jungle overwhelmingly agreed with John, as 40% of you voted for the Bengals to draft Thomas, the dynamic pass rusher out of Stanford.

But getting it right in the first round won’t be enough this year. As John points out in the video above, the Bengals can no longer afford to stock up on insurance policies and depth. Rather, the team needs pass rushers, athletic linebackers and beefy offensive linemen who can help out Bengals stars Carlos Dunlap, Geno Atkins, Vontaze Burfict and the dynamic duo of Andy Dalton and A.J. Green right now. Otherwise, Mike Brown, Marvin Lewis and the rest of Bengals management will have to answer for squandering the primes of the aforementioned players, some of the best in the history of the franchise.

In the above video, we make our cases for players who will realistically be available when the Bengals pick in the second round with the 41st overall selection, all of whom could have a tremendous impact in 2017.
