Tara Davis is the fastest high school student in the country after setting the record for the fastest 100-meter hurdles time in U.S. high school history.
The senior at Agoura High School in Agoura Hills, California, ran a 12.89 second time in the event, marking just the fourth female high schooler to break the 13-second mark in the race.
Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver John Ross took notice of her speed.

And now, Davis has joined the list of athletes to challenge Ross, the NFL’s fastest man, to a race. Ross broke the NFL Combine record in the 40-yard dash with a 4.22 second time.

Bengals head coach Marvin Lewis has already shot down the possibility of Ross racing Cincinnati Reds outfielder Billy Hamilton for charity. In case you didn’t know, Ross is not a “circus act”. So, it’s unlikely Lewis is going to want Ross racing Davis either.
Still, Davis’ speed is incredibly impressive and maybe at some point the two will race.
