Bengals Fan Rate Your Hate, Part 9: NFL edition

You’ve decided which team you hate most in each division, now decide who’s the most hated of them all!

We’ve spent the last few days of the offseason going division by division to see who you, Bengals fans, hate the most across the NFL. We’ve tallied up the votes in our various polls and have assembled our final eight teams. Now we have to call upon you one last time, in order to prove definitively which team in the NFL is the most hated in the jungle. The fate of the world (or at least this poll) is in your hands!

Rate Your Hate Series:

Part 1: AFC East

Part 2: AFC South

Part 3: AFC North

Part 4: AFC West

Part 5: NFC North

Part 6: NFC South

Part 7: NFC West

Part 8: NFC East

AFC East:

Your winners in the AFC East were the New England Patriots with 71% of the vote at the time of writing. The various scandals that have plagued the team over the years, the constant winning ways of Tom Brady and Bill Belichick, and five Super Bowl trophies have all proven themselves to be reasons why New England is here.

AFC West:

In the West, it was the Denver Broncos with 54% of the vote coming out on top. The Broncos had some solid efforts behind them in the Chargers with 24 percent, but it wasn’t enough. John Elway’s soldiers proved to be too much to handle, and the dominant defense and recent Super Bowl championship are reasons why.

AFC South:

With 81% of the vote, T.J. Yates the Houston Texans emerged victorious as the most hated team in the South. The multiple wild card round defeats to the team certainly played a factor, as well as the fact that a lot of people like to harass J.J. Watt. Uhh, hey J.J., maybe stop being so selfish and let somebody else in the AFC South win something for once.

AFC North:

With more than 1,200 votes and 94% of the total vote, the Pittsburgh Steelers won the race of hatred in the North. The sky is blue and water is wet.

NFC East:

In the NFC East, also known as the division most likely to have its fans collectively self implode, it was the Dallas Cowboys emerging from the ashes. The so-called America’s Team might not actually be the face of American sports, but they’re certainly the team everyone in America can say they don’t like.

NFC West:

The San Francisco 49ers were the team to beat coming into the NFC West poll and they didn’t disappoint. Joe Montana and his crew successfully held off a loud mouthed Seattle defense as well as the ghost of Carson Palmer to take the title for their division.

NFC South:

Heading down south I wasn’t really sure where this contest was going to go. In the end, Bengals fans showed they quite frankly just don’t like Cam Newton. The Carolina Panthers garnered 52% of the vote to take the win. I just wonder how many votes the Panthers would get if the kid from the NFL Play 60 commercial were their quarterback.

NFC North:

In the frigid NFC North it was the Green Bay Packers proving victorious once again over the Chicago Bears. With 49% of the vote, Green Bay achieved the smallest vote percentage garnered by a winning team in Rate Your Hate. I think that says less about people liking Green Bay and more that people really hate both the Bears and the Packers.

And now it comes down to this. Bengals fans, who is going to be your Rate Your Hate champion?
