Odds for Andy Dalton to win NFL MVP

What are Andy Dalton’s chances of winning NFL MVP for the 2017 NFL season?

NFL: Pro Bowl-AFC Practice Kirby Lee-USA TODAY Sports

Andy Dalton is armed with a plethora of talent and a unit that could combine to present his best group of pass catchers yet. Additionally, the Cincinnati Bengals are hoping for a bounce-back season that propels the team into the playoffs for the sixth time in Dalton’s seven year career.

Bovada has released its initial odds for the 2017 NFL Regular-Season MVP and Dalton has 100/1 odds, which are the same as that of Blake Bortles, Joe Flacco, T.Y Hilton, Marshawn Lynch and Von Miller, among others. Those are not great odds, as you can tell by the players with whom Dalton shares the odds. But, crazier things have happened. Dalton was in the MVP conversation in 2015 before a thumb injury derailed his season and the Bengals’ hopes of making a deep playoff run. Hopefully we see Dalton test his limits and push to get back into the MVP race this year. If he does, it will mean the Bengals are having a great year.
