The Cincinnati Bengals hit the field for Day 3 of training camp on Sunday and the pads will be on... well the shoulder pads, that is. We’ll have to wait until Monday for a fully padded practice.
Today we’ll get a better look at the offensive and defensive lines as well as the linebackers, who aren’t really able to fully showcase their talents in padless practices.
There have been two injuries so far, both of which took place on Friday. One was to wide receiver Jake Kumerow, who sprained his left ankle and the other was to Stanley “Boom” Williams, who suffered from cramps. Both guys were sidelined on Saturday and will likely remain off-the-field on Sunday.
Today’s practice begins at 3:00 and is expected to run through 4:45, though the team has started early and ended late in both of the prior practices. Gates open at 2:30 p.m. and attendance on Saturday was 2,100 people, which is likely about how many will be at the practice fields on Sunday. It’s expected to be a sunny and hot day in Cincinnati with temperatures in the high 80s.
