Cincinnati Bengals training camp: Live updates from Day 4

Follow along for updates straight from the Bengals’ training camp practice fields!

The Cincinnati Bengals hit the field for Day 4 of training camp on Monday and the pads will be fully on for the first time this year.

We should get a great look at the offensive and defensive lines as well as the linebackers and defensive backs. Pad-free practices are often most beneficial for the offensive skill players to shine, so look out for more information today on the linemen. Vontaze Burfict did get a talking to on Sunday for his physical play, as he never takes it easy and always wants to play with 100 percent effort.

Injury Roundup:

Sunday saw a number of injuries as safeties George Iloka and Derron Smith spent time with the trainers. Iloka’s injury is to his knee and Smith’s to his foot. Neither injury is expected to be major, but both players will likely miss some practice time. Defensive ends Michael Johnson and Wallace Gilberry also sat out all weekend with undisclosed injuries. And, wide receiver Jake Kumerow was injured on Friday and has yet to return to the field while battling an ankle injury.

Today’s practice begins at 3:00 p.m. ET and is expected to run through 4:45 p.m.
