Bengals vs Chiefs Preseason Week 2: Game time, TV schedule, online stream, announcers, replay

The preseason continues as the Bengals and Chiefs face off in their second preseason game. Here is everything you'll need to watch and follow this contest.

NFL: Kansas City Chiefs at Cincinnati Bengals Aaron Doster-USA TODAY Sports

The Cincinnati Bengals will be back in preseason action this Saturday when the Kansas City Chiefs come to town.

The Bengals are coming off an impressive showing against the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. While the starters went down 3-0 early, Cincinnati showcased its young and talented depth while finishing the game on a 20-3 run. That was highlighted by strong defensive performances by Jordan Willis and Chris Smith.

Willis is a third-round rookie who is fighting for a starting spot in this defense. He’s outplayed the incumbent Michael Johnson through training camp and thus far into the preseason. Perhaps Willis can become the second defensive end this team badly needs opposite of Pro Bowler Carlos Dunlap.

But while Willis is looking to win a starting spot, Smith is just looking to secure his spot on the final roster. The former Jacksonville Jaguars lineman was traded to Cincinnati this offseason for a conditional seventh-round draft pick. However, Smith looked like a star against the Bucs, racking up six quarterback pressures.

Seeing Willis and Smith have so much success as pass-rushers is great to see for a Bengals defense that badly needed an upgrade in this regard. They’ll look to continue that against a Chiefs offense that’s very balanced and does well at protecting quarterback Alex Smith.

Because this is the second preseason game, we should expect to see the starters play for around a full quarter. We’ll see some starters keep playing in the second quarter, but this will end up being another game decided by second and third-string players.

This will be the final home preseason game for the Bengals, who will have two straight away games over the next two weeks. That means this is the final time we’ll see the Bengals in Paul Brown Stadium until Week 1 of the regular season.

Here is everything you'll need to watch and follow these two teams square off in Week 2 of the preseason.
