The Cincinnati Bengals had their “dress rehearsal” on display Sunday afternoon and the results were mixed. While the team’s first units made some nice nice plays, there were both positives and negatives to be take from Cincinnati’s 23-17 loss to the Redskins.
Once again, the rookies looked very impressive against Washington, particularly edge rushers Carl Lawson and Jordan Willis. What should we take from the loss in the nation’s capital?
As we sifted through the ashes the Bengals’ loss to the Redskins, we found positives and negatives from their output on Sunday. Week 3 of the preseason usually yields the results that most translate to the regular season, so should we be optimistic? The offensive starters scored their first touchdown, as did the defensive starters, thanks to Vontaze Burfict’s pick six. While the backups didn’t play all that well, at least the starters did, right?
