Tyler Eifert continues to be one of the Bengals' best scoring threats
After struggling with injuries that began in training camp last season, Bengals tight end Tyler Eifert is once again clicking with Andy Dalton. Eifert had what was perhaps the play of the day on Tuesday at Cincinnati Bengals training camp. Dalton faked the handoff to running back Tra Carson and zoomed a 30-yard pass to Eifert near the sidelines. Eifert, with Adam Jones blanketing him, went airborne to snag the pass, which went right over Jones' outstretched arms. Jones fell to the ground as Eifert ran around him and into the end zone for the touchdown.

Stacking up subs: Bengals’ McCarron NFL’s No. 2 backup QB
Andy Dalton has missed just four games in his six-year NFL career, but if the Bengals’ quarterback goes down, Cincinnati should still be in good shape according to rankings of the league’s top backup quarterbacks. ESPN’s Fields Yates considers A.J. McCarron to be the second-best reserve QB in the league, trailing only New England’s Jimmy Garoppolo.

Baltimore Ravens general manager Ozzie Newsome responded Wednesday to a report earlier in the day from Dianna Russini of ESPN that he and head coach John Harbaugh had "met resistance" from team owner Steve Bisciotti in regard to signing quarterback Colin Kaepernick. "We are going through a process, and we have not made a decision," Newsome said in a statement. "Steve Bisciotti has not told us we cannot sign Colin Kaepernick, nor has he blocked the move. Whoever is making those claims is wrong."

Steelers News: Stephon Tuitt looking to make the jump to NFL Elite in 2017
