Tonight kicks off the NFL preseason when the Dallas Cowboys and Arizona Cardinals face off in the Hall of Fame game in Canton, Ohio.
OK... This isn’t the football action you’re looking for. No Cardinals starters are going to play and it’s unlikely any Cowboys starters see the field either. Playcalling is going to be weak. The Cincinnati Bengals don’t even play these teams this year, so there’s nothing to scout. But, the NFL is back! And that’s reason enough to turn on the TV while you multitask the night away, right?
This year’s Hall of Fame game has been moved from Sunday to Thursday night after there wasn’t even a Hall of Fame game in 2016 due to a bizarre scenario in which the wrong paint was used on the field and the conditions were deemed unsafe for players.
So, should you decide you’d like to watch the Cowboys’ backups take on the Cardinals’ backups, here’s what you need to know. And face it... do you have something better to watch on TV on a summer Thursday?
