My sort-of, kind-of farewell, but not really

Since I took over the reigns at Cincy Jungle nearly every moment of my spare time has been spent on this site.

Why?

Because I love it.

You have to really love it.

When I first approached Josh Kirkendall about helping out at Cincy Jungle, I was relatively naive when it came to football and knew nothing close to what I know now about the past, present and future of the Cincinnati Bengals. He decided to take a chance on me and I’m forever indebted.

Fast forward a few years and my world has changed, because of this website.

For the last few years, I’ve been looking to take the next step into a full-time job in the sports industry and that time has come.

But, I’m not going far at all!

I’ll be moving on to a full-time job working on the NFL at SB Nation!

With that said, it’s time for someone new to come in and take over at Cincy Jungle. I still plan to write and be involved, but, I’ll no longer have the time needed to keep CJ as great as I (and I’m sure all of you) want it to be. This isn’t happening immediately! I’ll still be around until the start of the season; but once the Bengals and Ravens play their first snap at 1:00 p.m. ET on September 10, we’ll have someone new in charge of Cincy Jungle.

It’s been so great getting to know so many of you and I don’t want that to end. I’ll continue to comment and write and if you’re ever in New York, let’s get a beer and talk Bengals!
